my delicious loose ends

“Light is sweet, and it pleases the eyes to see the sun.” —Ecclesiastes 11:7
Whether it’s sunrise or sunset, there is something luminous and ripe within the sun’s embrace.
“It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.” —Psalm 19:6
Celebrating the sun’s rays through photography brings me joy. I’m (still) learning how to edit my raw photos in NX Studio. I’ve seen that Lightroom is fantastic and totally agree, but until I learn how to use NX Studio to its fullest capacity, why should I pay? NX Studio is free to use with my Nikon D800.
Find out what else I’m learning at my Goodreads profile.
Photo details: Sunlight reaches Echeveria pulidonis. Pulidonis is derived from the Spanish word pulido which means neat or polished.

Welcome to the #estagram series, a blog-based grid collection that conveys what I’m learning in my daily mindfulness practice.
Creating mantras I can repeat to myself helps me stay grounded in challenging moments, and it reminds me how worthy I already am. Macro photography is an art that reminds me to make moments for stillness and tranquility. Weaving together these mantras and macro moments into a special blog feed is an essential element of my mindfulness practice that deserves to be preserved.
