Truly Connected

“We’re here to awaken from the illusion of our separateness.” —Thich Nhat Hahn

“Mindfulness is a healing balm that can put an end to our sense of alienation. It is a nonjudgmental awareness of whatever is happening inside us and around us. When we bring all our attention to truly connect to whatever we’re doing—whether we’re walking, breathing, brushing our teeth, or eating a meal—it takes us back to being present in the here and now, which is the foundation of happiness.”

Welcome to the #estagram series, a blog-based grid collection that conveys what I’m learning in my daily mindfulness practice.

Creating mantras I can repeat to myself helps me stay grounded in challenging moments, and it reminds me how worthy I already am. Macro photography is an art that reminds me to make moments for stillness and tranquility. Weaving together these mantras and macro moments into a special blog feed is an essential element of my mindfulness practice that deserves to be preserved.
