30 Days to Creativity

Day Sixteen

When I process my everyday experiences, sometimes I look for patterns in the chaos because I think they can be significant. Today, I did something a little different with my photos feed. I looked for a common orientation (portrait) and a common color (maroon). When things get a little chaotic, it’s helpful to ground myself with an exercise like this. It makes me feel calm and it helps me focus again on my personal goals, which are so important to have in addition to work goals. It’s a healthy balance.

The natural world is built upon common motifs and patterns. Recognizing patterns in nature creates a map for locating yourself in change, and anticipation of what is yet to come.
