30 Days to Creativity

Day Twenty-seven

We often hear it mentioned that “we have to find creative solutions” to challenges that aren’t easy to overcome. I have a challenge like this.

I think I am going to take this “creative solutions” approach and apply it literally to a project I haven’t done much with for awhile.

The challenge is that I need to develop new types of content that internal and external audiences will have no degree of expertise in. I’m thinking about a type of content such as poetry—haiku, perhaps, because it still has a structural format, it’s delightfully brief, and it’s not subject to proofreading or conventional evaluation like other kinds of writing might be. I want to make this art in such a way that it will call forth a new kind of experience that gently challenges the status quo in a positive and constructive way.

It’s just a fragment of an idea right now, but as it gets tossed around in my mind through commuting, meditation, and that time when I’m waiting to fall asleep, I know it will be refined and it’ll be ready when I have the best opportunity to put it into action.
